James Hogg started out as an insurance advisor and progressed to become an insurance claim assessor in the motor industry. His introduction to caravans came when he joined his parent’s caravan salvage business in 2000. While working within the caravan salvage industry, insurance companies began requesting caravan repairs and at that point, a separate company, GW Caravan Services Ltd, was created.
James’s experience in repairing and servicing caravans is vast. He has personally undertaken each and every type of repair and has years of hands-on experience and intricate knowledge of the repair techniques used within the industry. He’s still the man who sorts out all the real hard-to-solve technical problems.
James has the following qualifications: (ACOPS) gas competency, City & Guilds in Caravan Engineering (Touring Caravans & Motorhomes), CITO Electrical Testing & Inspection, CITO Electrical Extra Low Voltage. He has also attended training courses with all of the main suppliers to the industry (Al-Ko, Truma, Whale, Thetford, Dometic, BPW, Alde and Swift Group including the Smart HT system).
Whether you are looking for a quotation for accident damage (including insurance quotations) or would like to speak to someone about a repair, James is the person to contact.
Director & Company Secretary
Sarah Hogg started out in the legal department of an electronics company where she gained experience in Commercial and Contract Law. From there she progressed to Sales and Marketing Manager for a large supplier to the utilities industry. Having gotten as far as she could within that company, she jumped at the chance to build a brand new business with her brother when the opportunity arose.
Sarah is the company’s parts and spares expert. She runs the Ebay shop and is the person to speak to if you are looking for technical parts, components, panels or spares for your caravan or motorhome.
Whether you telephone GW Caravans or visit us in person, Sarah will usually be the first person you see or speak to. She is also the first point of contact for servicing enquiries and bookings and she handles the company’s day to day running including shop sales, accounts, personnel, marketing and advertising.
David joined the company in 2022 and he is our fully qualified Caravan & Motorhome Service Technician. He has years of experience as a caravan service engineer at a large dealership and is ACOPS competent, City & Guilds and CITO qualified.
David is not available to contact directly so if you have any queries regarding servicing or would like to book a service, Sarah Hogg is your first point of contact. Please call her on 01909 726600.
Chris is our paint specialist and bodywork repairer. Chris joined us in 2013 to help out with damp ingress repairs but his flair for bodywork and paintwork soon became apparent and that is now his main role. Chris is the man who will meticulously piece your caravan or motorhome back together after you have had an accident.
Chris is not available to contact directly so if you have any queries regarding bodywork repairs or would like a quotation, James Hogg is your first point of contact. Please call him on 01909 726600.
